Finally!!!

I have been in Kentucky since August 18th anxiously awaiting the birth of my ninth grand baby (and I was soooo afraid she would be born before I got there).

I don't normally post pictures of my grandchildren but this might be an exception.  This little sweetheart has 2 beautiful blond siblings, but she this incredible head of pure black hair!!!

Twenty-Seven Years Ago...

Twenty-seven years ago I awoke on a Sunday morning with those little contractions that can only mean one thing...at 5:15 pm, I had a beautiful 8 lb. 5 oz. - 21 1/2 inch baby.  Here I am with my newborn baby and my 3-year-old daughter and my 6-year-old daughter.  Needless to say, it's been a journey raising 3 daughters, but - no regrets!!  They are all married to wonderful men and between them I have 6 grand-daughters and 2 grand-sons and another grand-daughter on the way.

Happy Birthday, Jules!!!  I love you!!!

A Trip to Casa Bonita

The past two weeks have been wonderful!!  My 2 out-of-state daughters and their families have been visiting (well, the husbands had to go back home on the 29th to return to work, but the girls and kiddos stayed until yesterday).  Unfortunately, almost all of us had the stomach flu during those two weeks, but most of the time we had a marvelous time enjoying each other's company.

Whenever my husband and I travel, we make sure we eat at restaurants that we don't have in Colorado.  For instance, when we visit Kentucky, we always visit White Castle, so my daughter who lives in Kentucky made sure she ate at Chipotle and Panda Express while she was here.  We also spent a day in the Denver area on January 1, and ate at the infamous Casa Bonita.  My oldest grand-daughter will be 10 in March, and she never had been there, so I guess it's been a while since we've visited.  The food isn't anything to write home about, but the atmosphere is fantastic!!!

Memories...

Here is a picture of my three daughters about 25 years ago on the little boat ride at The North Pole.  At the time, I thought they were awfully cute, but now I think they are just about the cutest kiddos I've ever seen...and now they are all grown up and they are beautiful Christian women.  I love you, A, D, and J !!!

Turkey Trot

My youngest daughter and her husband ran their first 5K today. Since it was their first race, they ran it recreationally instead of competitively.  Congrats, Team J2!!
